  • Puffed rice: 2 big bowls,
  • Oil: 2 tsp,
  • Onion, chopped: 3 tsp,
  • Green chillies, chopped: 1 tsp,
  • Tomatoes, chopped: 2 tsp,
  • Coriander, chopped: for garnishing,
  • Salt: from prescribed daily allowance,
  • Sugar: 1 tsp,
  • Lemon juice: 1 tsp,
  • Turmeric powder: 1/4th tsp,
  • Red chilli powder: ½ tsp,
  • Cumin seeds: 1/4th tsp,
  • Mustard seeds: 1/4th tsp

  • Soak puffed rice in water for 2 mins and then remove them. Press them so as to remove excess water.
  • Now take oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Allow them to splutter and then add onion and green chillies. Allow onion to turn pink.
  • Now add tomatoes, puffed rice, salt, sugar, turmeric and red chilli powder.
  • Mix well and turn off the flame.
  • Now add lemon juice and mix well.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve well.
