Udad dal: 1 heaped tsp (7g),

Ghee: 1 tsp (5g),

Garam masala: pinch,

Red chilli powder: pinch,

Turmeric powder: pinch,

Coriander leaves for garnishing.

  • Soak rava and urad dal for 12 hours and then grind them together.
  • Allow it to ferment for next 12 hours.
  • Add salt from the prescribed daily allowance.
  • Set the idlis into idli stand and then steam it for 10 – 15 mins.
  • Allow it to cool.
  • Now cut a single idli into 4 pieces.
  • In a pan, take ghee add idli pieces. Add all the masalas.
  • Add salt from the prescribed salt allowance.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
