Kidney Disease Awareness and Organ Donation Awareness program at Kandivali-East - 24th August 2018
Apex Kidney Foundation had organized kidney disease and organ donation awareness program on 24th August 2018 for the Senior citizens group of Kalpataru Towers, Kandivali-East, Mumabi -400101; from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
The main aim of this program was to promote awareness about organ donation and kidney disease among the general public.
The lecture was conducted by Dr. Rachana Jasani and Dr. Mohd Shah Alam. It was attended by nearly 50 senior citizens and their participation was highly active.
Both the lectures were followed by questions and answers sessions wherein multiple doubts related to kidney disease and to organ donation especially kidney donation were addressed.
Towards the end, few gifts were distributed by AKF like Key chains, Wrist bands promoting Organ donation,etc.
Pamphlets and leaflets carrying messages of saving kidneys from failure and organ donation were distributed.
Additionally, seekers requesting for more information were provided additional information in a question and answer session.
