Patient Support Group Meeting
A Patient Support Group Meeting was organized by Apex Kidney Foundation for the dialysis patients of Nirali dialysis center, Powai and Allcure dialysis center, Jogeshwari, Mumbai. This meeting was held on 13th June 2018 from morning 11:00 am to 1.30 pm. This was followed lectures by doctors from Apex Kidney Care.
The speakers and their respective topics were as follows:
Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Consultant Nephrologist – Dialysis Therapy.
Dr. Paras Dedhia, Consultant Nephrologist – Basics of Kidney Disease.
Dr. Rachana Jasani, Consultant Renal Dietician – Basic Diet for Dialysis Patient.
After the lectures, a yoga session was arranged for dialysis patients. It was conducted by Ms. Sujata from Shammi Yogalaya. In all, 28 dialysis patients and 20 relative had attended the meeting.
The main feature of this program was a small skit arranged by AKF volunteers. This skit was an educational skit to deliver the message of protocol in kidney disease management to all the dialysis patients.
A vote of thanks was delivered in the end by Dr Rajesh Kumar Sir which was followed by snacks for all attendees.
