kidney disease and nutrition management medical camp, Vatsalya trust
As an extention of the Secret Santa activity, Apex Kidney Foundation had conducted the Kidney disease medical camp on 10th Feb 2018 (Saturday) from morning 9:30 am to 2:00 pm at at Vatsalya Trust, Sanpada, Navi Mumbai. Vatsalya Trust serves as an orphanage as well as an old age home.
Residents at the Vatsalya trust included approximately 25-30 female children and female adolescents and 10 old age members. Apex Kidney Foundation had conducted blood test for detection of serum creatinine, Hba1C, blood sugar, and urine routine. The blood tests and urine analysis were conducted 2 weeks priorly.
On the day of the camp, vitals like blood pressure, height, weight were assessed. After that BMI was calculated, the doctors consultation was started.
Following the free health check-up had conducted by Dr. Sunil Bhoir, Dr. Virendra Gupta and lecture on dietary modifications to prevent kidney diseases was conducted by Ms. Rachana Jasani. This was followed by a thanking vote.
