Kidney disease and diabetes detection medical camp, Vagad Kala Kendra.
Apex Kidney Foundation had conducted the Kidney disease and diabetes detection medical camp on 25th Feb 2018 (Sunday) from morning 8:30 am to 2:00 pm at Shree Thana Vardhman Sthanakvasi Jain Shravak Sangh, Shree Vasanji Lakhamshi Karia Medical Centre, Dr. Mus Road, Talavpali, Thana West, Mumbai - 400603.
Almost 200 people had participated in this medical camp. Apex Kidney Foundation had conducted blood test for detection of serum creatinine, Hba1C, blood sugar, and urine routine. The blood tests and urine analysis were conducted 2 weeks priorly. A detailed history form was given priorly to all the participating candidates.
On the day of the camp, vitals like blood pressure, height, weight were assessed. After that BMI was calculated, the doctors consultation was started. All the patients presenting with abnormal urine reports and/ or raised serum creatinine were seen by Nephrologist Dr Jatin Kothari Sir and all the remaining candidates were assessed by all the team of doctors from AKF including . Dr Mohd Shah Alam, Dr. Virendra Gupta, Dr. Suryapraksh Singh, Dr. Sunil Bhoir, and Dr. Ankur Ahmed.
Following the free OPD, a seminar was arranged by Vagad Kala Kendra wherein a lecture on prevention of kidney diseases was held by Dr. Jatin Kothari Sir and dietary modifications to prevent kidney diseases was conducted by Ms. Rachana Jasani. This was followed by a thanking vote and then by lunch.
